HOUSTON (March 1, 2010) - The site of some of the most historic American half-marathon performances and host of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for the women's marathon, Houston will host the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Men's and Women's Marathon, USA Track & Field and the United States Olympic Committee announced Monday.

Michigan Runner of the Year 2008: Hank Risley
By Charles Douglas McEwen - Hank Risley, who began running just three years ago at age 37, considers himself a late bloomer when it comes to competitive sports.
“I never really played any sports in high school,” Risley said. “Back then, I never would have imagined that I would be running marathons and 50Ks.” (He has run about a dozen marathons and three 50Ks.)
