(PHOTO:Camera 4 / TOP Sportmarketing) Four Olympic champions, five World champions and six European gold medallists will be in action at the fifth edition of the ISTAF INDOOR meeting in Berlin on Friday evening. Renaud Lavillenie of France and Brazil’s Thiago Braz, winners of the 2012 and 2016 Olympic titles respectively, will meet in the pole vault, while Tianna Bartoletta of the USA has set her sights just as high with a double start: the Olympic long jump and sprint relay champion will run the 60m as well as competing in her specialist field event. Special safety nets will be installed for the discus competition which closes the meeting and this promises to be another highlight with the presence of Berlin’s very own Olympic champion from the 2012 London Games, Robert Harting.

 

Organisers of the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon have confirmed that Tirunesh Dibaba and defending champion Daniel Wanjiru will return to the IAAF Gold Label road race on 22 April.

 

 

The leading men’s contenders attending Friday’s elite athletes press conference for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018 were unanimous in their prediction ahead of Sunday’s big event, it could be the fastest ever race over the classic distance ever witnessed in India.

 

Two-time NCAA Champion one of four middle-distance standouts added to roster - ATLANTA – January 17, 2018 -- Two-time NCAA champion Edward Kemboi has joined Atlanta Track Club’s roster of professional athletes. Kemboi, who won the 800m at both the 2015 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships made his 800m debut in an Atlanta Track Club/Mizuno uniform last weekend at the Orange and Purple Classic at Clemson University where he won in 1:49.15.

The eighth edition of the IAAF Diamond League series was the first in which the overall title in each event was determined solely by performance at one of the two final meetings in Zurich and Brussels.
